Designing a cohesive set of branded material and sample sites

Takeshape is a content management platform, built by Ronik, for developers and creatives to easily and quickly edit the content on their websites post-launch. I designed a sample book publishing company site for first-time users to test out the product on, and this included a set of book covers. I incorporated the thin anamorphic lines and bold, bicolor forms from Takeshape's branding into the covers.

I also designed advertisements for Takeshape's Facebook and Linkedin social channels.

Moodboard

I started by gathering graphic references that gave off a vibrant, quirky yet sophisticated mood that the Takeshape brand has. I particularly liked the series to the right, with the delicate, thinly lined patterns that are woven perfectly around a serif typeface.

I wanted the book covers to have a tactile, vintage feel, with embossed lettering on a textured cover.

Alternate Type Treatment

Alternate version of the covers used bolder and more varied type treatment, albeit less cohesive.

Social Media Ads

Advertisement explorations for Takeshape's social channels. After analyzing Takeshape's customer personas and most marketable features, I wrote potential headlines, created a set of core graphic elements to use, and put them together in a variety of layouts.
